Bob Nishida | Instructor
Bob has over 28 years of law enforcement experience in Southern Bob boasts over 28 years of law enforcement experience in Southern California. His journey commenced with the San Jacinto Police Department, where he assumed roles as a K-9 Handler, Field Training Officer, and Gang Detective. Transitioning to the Hemet Police Department, Bob served across diverse assignments including Field Patrol, Field Training Officer, Gang Detective, Narcotics/Vice Detective, Detective Corporal, and Recruitment Officer. Bob continues to work as a part time Police Officer with the San Diego State University Police Department.
During his tenure as a Sergeant, Bob provided oversight for the regional Central PACT (Post Release Accountability Team) Team and the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force-Region 3, comprised of federal, state, county, and municipal agencies.
Since 2012, Bob has served as a CA POST instructor, presently holding the position of Adjunct Instructor at the Riverside Community College District and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Ben Clark Training Center. His instructional portfolio encompasses diverse subjects such as Field Training Officer, Racial Profiling/Biased Based Policing, Gang Awareness, and School Resource Officer Course.
Bob holds a bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice from Columbia Southern University and is a graduate of the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute. Furthermore, he is recognized as a court expert in criminal street gangs and narcotics sales, having testified in both federal and state courts.
