Dave Westrick | Chief of Client & Risk Services
Chief David Westrick (ret) – 30+ years of law enforcement/government experience in California. Married to wife, Liz. He has two adult children. He enjoys extreme endurance competitions, adventure racing, rodeo, and volunteering with local causes.
Chief Westrick began his law enforcement career in 1991 in the City of Los Banos. He moved onto Redwood City PD in 2001 and Hollister PD in 2003. He was sworn-in as Chief of Police in July of 2013. He retired in 2019. He is currently the Public Information Officer for San Benito County.
Assignments he has worked include patrol, traffic, gangs, SRO, PIO, training, street crimes, budget, and investigations as he promoted thru the ranks. He was one of the first law enforcement executives on social media in the nation and was a featured TED speaker at TEDx Salinas.
Has testified as an expert or has received advance training in gangs/gang violence, sexual assault, DUI, drugs & paraphernalia, deep & dark WEB, ICS (industrial control systems), social media and civil service/ bargaining unit negotiations/HR.
