Meet James

James Jarman | Training Team Supervisor

James Jarman has a long and successful history in law enforcement, as well as a wide range of experience in the private sector.


After serving his country in the US Air Force, James began his career in Law Enforcement in 1990 with the Merced County Sheriff's department, then joined the Stockton Police Department in 1991.


He holds Basic, Intermediate and Advanced POST certificates, and he's worked several assignments to include Patrol, Community Response Team, Field Training Officer, Traffic Division, Firearms Instructor, undercover assignments and served as an acting sergeant.

Following his Law Enforcement career, James began a career as a Private Investigator working on high profile cases, homicide, burglary, robbery, and narcotics and is certified with the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI).


James has a combined total of over 33 years of law enforcement or law enforcement related experience with a focus on community safety, training, and investigations.


As an accomplished entrepreneur, James has owned several small businesses in the Modesto area and also enjoys teaching firearms safety and tactics as a Federal Firearms Dealer.

James has always had a commitment to excellence and service to his community and was honored to be an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow and God & Country Award recipient in high school. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Horses of Warriors, a non-profit organization dedicated to veterans and first responders with PTSD.
