Meet Tony

Tony Rios | Training Team Supervisor

Tony has over 25 years of law enforcement experience with the Fullerton Police Department. Early in his career, he was a full time DARE officer and spent three years as a School Resource Officer. He has worked as a detective in the Family Crimes Unit and as a detective in an under-cover capacity. He spent several years as a Field Training Officer before being promoted to Sergeant. As a Sergeant, he supervised the Field Training Program, Family Crimes Unit, and the Gang Unit before being promoted to Lieutenant. As a Lieutenant, he has managed Patrol, the Traffic Bureau and currently manages the Investigations Bureau which encompasses: Crimes Persons, Property Crimes, Special Investigations Unit, Narcotics, Community Services and Crime Scene Investigations. Tony is also part of a county wide training cadre that teaches Police Officers how to respond to Active Shooter incidents. Tony has been part of the SWAT team for over 20 years and rose from operator to Team Leader and ultimately, Commander. Tony also developed and manages the UAS/DRONE program at Fullerton Police Department and is a FAA approved pilot.
